Agenda for Tuesday, 29 November 2016

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 29 NOVEMBER 2016:

0700-0800:  Introductions, Networking Assistance, and Open Forum Discussion.

Join us Tuesday for open forum networking.  With no scheduled speaker this week, that means more time for introductions, updates, and your networking needs.  We can help with referrals, advice, job search assistance, contacts, and other networking.  Or just come to broaden your personal and professional network, and enjoy the great discussion on a variety of timely topics.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

29 November (this week):  Open Forum/Networking.

6 December:  TBD/Open

If there's a speaker you'd like to invite for an upcoming Tuesday, just let me know at panicciaj@aol.com.   Remember that you could be the speaker yourself.  Maybe you have an interesting topic or a problem you'd like to put to the group.  Or you've gained new insight from a business book or a conference.  Those are just a few examples of informal presentations or discussions you can lead as our speaker.

Have a great week.

Agenda for Tuesday, 22 November 2016

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 22 NOVEMBER 2016:

0700-0730:  Introductions and Assistance

During introductions, please tell us a bit about yourself.  Typical format is to begin with your name, academy, and class.  Then talk for as much or as little as you want, on what's happening in your world and any networking needs we might be able to help with.  We can help with referrals, advice, job search assistance, contacts, and other networking.  Or just come to broaden your personal and professional network, and enjoy the great discussion on a variety of timely topics.

0730-0800:  Speaker

This week we have Bryan Dyer, who will speak on Interviewing Basics.  Thanks to Dave Jackson (USMA '73) for arranging to have Mr. Dyer speak with us.

Dave writes as follows regarding this speaker:  Bryan is owner of a company that recruits ex-military -- all grades.  He has experience with engineering jobs and several other fields.  He has agreed to talk about some of the pitfalls he sees for interviewees.  His talk will also touch on other aspects of his expertise.

Note that you're likely to gain valuable insight on a number of topics, not just interviewing skills.  So join us on Tuesday to hear this speaker and to renew your ties with your grad network.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

22 November (this week):  Bryan Dyer

29 November:  TBD/Open
