3.  2012 COLORADO WOMEN VETERANS RESOURCE FAIR - August 25 (Greenwood Village)

Thanks to Biznet member Bob Fretzs (USAFA '71) for passing along this item from
Kathryn Wirkus, Lt Col, USAF (Ret).  She writes:

As chair of the planning committee, I would like to send you information for your use and for widest dissemination on the Colorado Women Veterans Resource Fair 2012. The event will be held on August 25, 2012 at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel, 7801 East Orchard Road, Greenwood Village, CO 80011 from 8:30 - 3:30. This is the second year of this free event and we will also be holding a reception at the hotel Friday night Aug 24, 2012 from 6-8 pm.

This year's keynote speaker will be Undersecretary of Veterans Benefits, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Brig Gen Allison Hickey, USAF (Ret). We will hold six classes offering information on career, health & wellness, and lifeskills training. The conference is to give women veterans information, education and access to their VA benefits as well as an opportunity to obtain information on education, housing, health care including mental health, employment and other items of interest to women veterans. We will have 50 resource/exhibitor tables offering information to women veterans in a wide range of areas. We will also be offering resume reviews and practice interviews.

This conference is hosted in collaboration with various federal, state, county, local businesses and nonprofit organizations. It is a grassroots effort to honor and support Colorado's women veterans and is solely supported by generous sponsors and donors. There is still an opportunity to become a donor and/or sponsor to make this event a total success.

Please feel free to distribute this information to your various contacts to ensure as many women veterans are able to attend as possible. To register online as an attendee, sponsor, or exhibitor, please go to http://www.cowomenveteransconference.org/ for additional information.
