1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 11/20/12:

0700-0730:  INTRODUCTIONS & ASSISTANCE
Our roundtable introductions are an opportunity to talk abuot your current professional or personal focus, with special emphasis on any networking needs.  Chances are good that someone in the group will be able to help.  Even if you don't have immediate networking needs, join us for the long-term networking value. 

0730-0800:  SPEAKER/PROGRAM

Dick Bush (USAFA '71) will talk on a topic he has titled "View From The Bakken".  The Bakken is a geologic formation, primarily in Montana and North Dakota, which contains major oil reserves that are now in production.  Dick recently attended a North Dakota Petroleum Council meeting, at which the discussion ranged from energy and the economy to entreprenurial topics and social issues.  On Tuesday morning he will share what he learned from the meeting.

3.  ITEM OF INTEREST - Book "The Liberator" on WWII Vet & Former Biznet Speaker:

Long-distance Biznet member Ron Meier (USMA '66) writes from northern Georgia as follows:

In our early day's of Biznet, Felix Sparks, a Denver resident, visited with us and spoke about some of his adventures in combat and his unit's liberation of Dachau.  This is a new book on Sparks that all Academy grads might like to read.  Please pass on to anyone you'd like.  Ron

Service Academy BizNet of Denver meets weekly on Tuesdays at 0700, in the Marriott Hotel at the Denver Tech Center. From I-25, exit Belleview east, then turn north onto Syracuse Street. The Marriott lots are paid parking (approx $2-4), however you can park for FREE across the street at Garcia's Restaurant (we have their permission). Look for us in the seating area inside the Marriott's coffee shop. RSVP is not required. Dress is casual. Attendance is open to graduates of the federal service academies (USAFA, USCGA, USMA, USMMA, USNA).
