Agenda for Tuesday, 3/10/15

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 3/10/15:

0700-0715: Introductions & Networking Assistance. We'll help you with advice, assistance, referrals, and other networking needs.

0715-0800:  Speaker.   This week I (Joe) will summarize key points and lead a discussion on Malcolm Gladwell's book "Outliers:  The Story of Success".  Discussion points include:
          -- Why timing is everything for hockey players and the captains of industry.
          -- The 10,000-hour rule.
          -- The trouble with geniuses.
          -- The ethnic theory of plane crashes.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

3/10/15 (this week):   Joe Paniccia (see above).

3/17/15: Michael Knight, CEO of Prime Capital Connections, will present on a range of topics, including the causes of the financial crisis of 2008-2012, where we are with today's economy, the real unemployment numbers, capital markets, venture markets, private equity, and related topics.

3. VETERANS APPRECIATION EVENT AT HISTORY COLORADO - March 19:

Service Academy BizNet of Denver meets weekly on Tuesdays at 0700, in the Marriott Hotel at the Denver Tech Center. From I-25, exit Belleview east, then turn north onto Syracuse Street. The Marriott lots are paid parking (approx $2-4), however you can park for FREE across the street at Garcia's Restaurant (we have their permission). Look for us in the seating area inside the Marriott's coffee shop. RSVP is not required. Dress is casual. Attendance is open to graduates of the federal service academies (USAFA, USCGA, USMA, USMMA, USNA). There are no dues or fees.
