Weekly News & Agenda for Tuesday, 3 December 2019

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 3 DECEMBER 2019:

0700-0800:  Introductions. Assistance, and Open Forum Discussion.

During introductions, tell us a bit about yourself and any networking needs. We can help with referrals, advice, job search assistance, and other networking.  We also welcome topics of general interest for discussion.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

3 December:  Open Forum Networking

10 December:  TBD or Open Forum Networking

If you have a speaker in mind for an upcoming Tuesday, or would like to lead a discussion yourself, just let me know, at PanicciaJoe@gmail.com.

3.  DENVER REGIONAL VETERAN CAREER EXPO - 20 DECEMBER - DENVER FEDERAL CENTER:

Many thanks to BizNet member Bob Fretzs (USAFA '71) for passing along this item from his network.

The Denver Regional Veteran Career Expo will occur on 20 December, 1000-1400, at the Denver Federal Center.  For more information, visit  http://www.gatewaynews.org/ccp/events2/mobile/index.html#p=1

Note:  The pages at the link above appear to be tailored to employers who want to register to exhibit or recruit at the event.  A web search on this event returned the link below, which appears to provide a means for candidates to register, although it's unclear whether candidate registration is actually required.  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/colorado-fair-chance-veteran-career-fair-tickets-77927034859

4.  SEEKING A NEW BIZNET FACILITATOR:

We're looking for a new facilitator for the Denver BizNet group as I've decided to move on from that role effective at the end of this year.  If you're interested in picking up this role, please let me know, at PanicciaJoe@gmail.com.

This will also be an opportunity for someone to reboot the group in some form after the end of this year. You could continue it as a weekly in-person forum, or change to a different meeting frequency, or revert to a virtual-only approach via the LinkedIn group. Many possibilities, and an opportunity for someone to continue our simple mission of grads helping grads.

Have a great week.
