Weekly News & Agenda for Tuesday, 8/28/12

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 8/28/12:

0700-0730: INTRODUCTIONS & ASSISTANCE

We start with roundtable introductions, focusing on any networking needs. Feel free to also bring up any topics of general interest.

0730-0800: SPEAKER/PROGRAM

David Pigott (USMA '03) will speak about current issues in Colorado.  David is running for a seat in the Colorado House of Representatives, from Broomfield.  Thanks to Biznet member Jason Clark (USMA '92) for arranging to have David talk with us this week.
2. UPCOMING TUESDAY PROGRAMS:

8/28/12 (this week):  David Pigott - see above.

9/4/12:  Chaplain (MAJ) Shawn Menchion and law professor Dave Fitzkee will make a presentation on USAFA's Religious Respect Training Program.

9/11/12:  Jeff Dale, executive director of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), will introduce this character-based organization and share its vision for making an impact in Colorado.  PCA believes that youth sports done right is a joyous experience that creates not just better athletes, but more importantly, better people.  PCA stands up against the win-at-all-cost mentality prevalent in youth sports today.  They work with YSOs (youth sports organizations) and schools to provide training for parents, coaches, leaders and athletes, with the ultimate goal of giving every child a positive, charater-building sports experience.

Note:  If you'd like to invite a speaker or lead a discussion yourself on any future Tuesday morning, just let me know at panicciaj@aol.com

3. VETERANS PASSPORT TO HOPE - October 4:
