Weekly News & Agenda for Tuesday, 9/11/12

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 9/4/12:

0700-0730: INTRODUCTIONS & ASSISTANCE

We start with roundtable introductions, focusing on any networking needs. Feel free to also bring up any topics of general interest.

0730-0800: SPEAKER/PROGRAM

9/11/12:  Jeff Dale, executive director of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), will introduce this character-based organization and share its vision for making an impact in Colorado.  PCA believes that youth sports done right is a joyous experience that creates not just better athletes, but more importantly, better people.  PCA stands up against the win-at-all-cost mentality prevalent in youth sports today.  They work with YSOs (youth sports organizations) and schools to provide training for parents, coaches, leaders and athletes, with the ultimate goal of giving every child a positive, charater-building sports experience.
Thanks to Joe Schieffer (USAFA '04) for arranging to have Mr. Dale speak with us this week.

2. UPCOMING TUESDAY PROGRAMS:

9/11/12 (this week):  Jeff Dale from the Positive Coaching Alliance - see above.
9/18/12:  TBD or Open Forum.

If you'd like to invite a speaker or lead a discussion on any future Tuesday morning, just let me know at panicciaj@aol.com
