Weekly News & Agenda for Tuesday, 8/6/13

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 8/6/13:

0700-0730:  Introductions and Assistance.

0730-0800:  Speaker/Program.  Biznet member Bob Fretzs (USAFA '71) will continue his talk about The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and its many nuances.

Bob led a discussion on this topic during our meeting on 7/23/13.  We had planned to continue that discussion this past week, but a business conflict arose for Bob that day, so we'll continue that discussion this week, with particular focus on the Colorado Health Exchange and how the subsidies will work.

Bob is an agent with New York Life, with particular expertise on health care insurance.  Visit his web site at www.robertfretzs.nylagents.com.  For information on Colorado's implementation of the Affordable Care Act, visit www.connectforhealthco.com.

2. UPCOMING TUESDAY SPEAKERS/PROGRAMS:

-- 8/6/13 (this week):  Bob Fretzs (USAFA '71)  - see above.
-- 8/13/13:  TBD or Open Forum.  If you'd like to invite a speaker or lead a discussion on this or any future Tuesday, just let me know at panicciaj@aol.com.

3.  FREE UPGRADE ON LINKEDIN FOR VETERANS:

Thanks to Biznet member Ted Studwell (USNA '81) for passing along this item, which he saw on the Denver VA Medical Center Facebook page.

Veterans can get a free upgrade of their LinkedIn service.  Go to this link and then scroll down for instructions. Ted confirmed that it works.  http://jadethunter.wordpress.com/2013/08/01/free-LinkedIn-upgrade-for-veterans/
