This week Dave Jackson (USMA '73) will lead a discussion he describes as: "Food Supplements: to b(1) or not to b(12) – a limited discussion on Food Supplements, the need for or lack thereof, plus a limited science show that will dazzle the viewer, while at no time will my fingers have left my hands."

6/10/14:  Sean Mune will speak on Disabled Veteran Canine Assistants.  Sean is a veterinary technician and dog coach for the Dog E Network (dogenetwork.org).  He seeks to educate the public on dog behavior, socialization, and rehabilitation so that owners are able to train in a more effective, humane manner.  Sean actively promotes the health benefits of training animal companions for those suffering with physical and emotional ailments.

Daniel Feldpausch (USMA '08) is searching for his next position and requests your assistance.  He is currently stationed at Fort Carson and will be exiting the Army later this year.  His search is focusing on positions in project management or operations management.

n  Principle officer responsible for logistics, command supply discipline, acquisition and procurement of material and movement for a unit of 800+ personnel.  Expertly managed the unit's $2M annual operating budget, and coordinated and tracked the movement of all supplies and personnel across three continents.

n  Supervised an administrative and logistics operations center including personnel, maintenance, property accountability, and distribution elements.
Executive Officer – US Army                                                                                                                                   June 2010 – April 2011

n  Senior coordinator for the maintenance and accountability of resources and equipment valued at over $14M for a 129-person field team. Successfully resourced combat operations and training.

n  Planned, coordinated and successfully executed a 5K charity footrace in Afghanistan with over 150 participants, which generated significant revenue for the unit.  Redeployed the unit’s property to the United States ahead of schedule and with zero loss of accountability.

n  Personally led a field team of 40 personnel under dangerous and difficult conditions with resources and equipment, valued at over $5 million, to maintain supply channels in Afghanistan.
     
      n   Developed and executed complex operations focused on thorough and safe route clearance.  Integrated cultural sensitivity and awareness in order to foster a collaborative relationship with the local populace, focused on community safety.

Service Academy BizNet of Denver meets weekly on Tuesdays at 0700, in the Marriott Hotel at the Denver Tech Center. From I-25, exit Belleview east, then turn north onto Syracuse Street. The Marriott lots are paid parking (approx $2-4), however you can park for FREE across the street at Garcia's Restaurant (we have their permission). Look for us in the seating area inside the Marriott's coffee shop. RSVP is not required. Dress is casual. Attendance is open to graduates of the federal service academies (USAFA, USCGA, USMA, USMMA, USNA). There are no dues or fees.
