Agenda for Tuesday, 6/10/14

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 6/10/14:

0700-0730:  Introductions & Assistance
Our main focus is your networking needs, but we also encourage any personal updates or brief discussions on topics of interest.

0730-0800:  Speaker
Sean Mune will speak on Disabled Veteran Canine Assistants. Sean is a veterinary technician and dog coach for the Dog E Network (dogenetwork.org). He seeks to educate the public on dog behavior, socialization, and rehabilitation so that owners are able to train in a more effective, humane manner. Sean actively promotes the health benefits of training animal companions for those suffering with physical and emotional ailments.

Thanks to Kurt Schlaefer (USAFA '70) for arranging to have Sean speak with us this week.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

6/10/14 (this week):  Sean Mune - see above.

6/17/14: Chuck Franceschi (USAFA '79) will talk about an often-overlooked VA benefit known as Aid & Attendance. Chuck is a volunteer advocate with U.S. Senior Vets (USSV). USSV guides qualifying vets thru the process for this program.

6/24/14:  Ed Herlik will talk with us about Vets4Biz, which is a nonprofit that accurately measures an organization's culture, then matches them up with qualified veterans who align best with their specific culture and needs.  www.vets4biz.org

If you'd like to schedule a speaker (or lead a discussion yourself) for any future Tuesday morning, please send a note to George Jenkins, at georgedjenkins4@gmail.com.
