Agenda for Tuesday, 2 August 2016

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 2 AUGUST 2016:

0700-0730:  Introductions and Assistance.

0730-0800:  Speaker.

Dave Wheeler (USNA '88) will talk about the history of U.S. nuclear weapons development and the nuclear weapons complex.  He has an extensive background in that field, with assignments at Los Alamos, Sandia, and several other key sites.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

2 August (this week):  Dave Wheeler (USNA '88) - see above.

9 August:  Trevor Shirk (USMA '08) will share his insights on the military-to-civilian transition, based on his personal experience and his extensive volunteer role with a veteran transition organization.

16 August:  Josh Kuehl (USMA '01) will talk about his new veteran-focused nonprofit organization - Task Force ISO.

If there's a speaker you'd like to invite for a future Tuesday, just let me know at panicciaj@aol.com.

Remember -- you could be the speaker yourself.   If you have an interesting topic or a problem you'd like to put to the group, or maybe have gained new insight from a business book or a conference, we'd love to hear about it.

3.  REMINDER - Some changes at our meeting venue (Marriott - DTC):

Due to construction, the entrance for the Marriott-DTC (our weekly meeting location) is now at the far north end of the hotel.

Suggested parking is now also at the far north end of the hotel, instead of at Garcia's.  For some time now, the Marriott lots have not been charging a parking fee, and it appears that will continue to be the case for at least the near future.  Upon entering the Marriott property, temporary signs will direct you to the north end of the hotel where you can self-park for free.

To find the new coffee shop, enter the Marriott at the far north end of the hotel.  Proceed along the main concourse inside the hotel, toward the new front desk.  Just beyond the front desk, the coffee shop will be on your right, and its seating area (where we meet) is on the left.  The seating area is more spacious than the old coffee shop, yet still provides a relatively quiet setting for our meetings.

---------------------------------------------------

Have a great week.
