Mysterious' Vietnam War Memorial

From: http://www.military.com/video/operations-and-strategy/vietnam-war/vietnam-memorial-on-remote-trail/2805626482001/

"Cycle ride from Tomichi Creek off of Highway 50 near Gunnison, CO up to the Continental Divide, where we found this war memorial tucked away in seclusion. You won't find it on any maps. An old local at the Tomichi Trading Post said the Park Rangers keep it off maps...the story is that a Vietnam Vet somehow used a chopper to sneak the pieces in. If anyone knows the true story, I'd love to hear it." Weekly News & Agenda for Tuesday, 4/8/14

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 4/8/14:

0700-0730: Introductions & Assistance

During introductions, tell us what's new for you lately, and any networking needs we might be able to help you with.  The grad network works!

0730-0800:  Speaker

Putting myself on the calendar this time (Joe Paniccia - USMA '84).  I'll lead a discussion on index mutual funds, based on several recent articles that challenge the wisdom of traditional cap-weighted indexing.  I am not a financial services professional -- just an investor like the rest of us, who finds some fascination with the topic.

2. UPCOMING SPEAKERS:

4/8/14 (this week):  Joe Paniccia - see above.
4/15/14:  TBD.

If you'd like to schedule a speaker for 4/15 or any upcoming Tuesday, please send a note to George Jenkins (USNA '74) at georgedjenkins4@gmail.com.  Remember that speakers need not be just from outside our group.  You could lead a discusion yourself on a topic of your choosing.

3.  DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER AT THIS WEEK'S PIKE'S PEAK BIZNET MEETING:

Our sister group in Colorado Springs (Service Academy BizNet - Pike's Peak Region) will have a special speaker this week:  General Irv Rokke, former Dean of USAFA.  The meeting is at 0700-0800 on Wednesday, April 9, at East Coast Grill on South Tejon in Colorado Springs, across the street from Quinn's.

Pike's Peak BizNet has the same mission, format, and approach as our Denver BizNet group.  They meet every Wednesday, 0700-0800.  For many years their venue had been The Perk, on S. Tejon, but due to a recent fire in that building they're using a different establishment for now, as indicated above.

If any Denver Biznetters can make it fit with your schedule, let's support our fellow grads in the Springs with a good turnout for General Rokke's talk on Wednesday.
