Wanted: Local exec/manager/owner in the transportation, manufacturing, and oil & gas space feilds

I've been contacted by a 2007 USMA grad, starting up a new business development firm. Currently finishing a Law degree at Harvard, he's been hired by a Cheyenne business to help develop a business.

He will be in the area 8/2 thru 8/10 and is seeking local grads that have experience in transportation, manufacturing, and /or oil & gas. He'd like to set down to either a breakfast or lunch to gain some insights to our area of the nation. In his words:

  • We are looking to connect with business owners, managers, and executives in the transportation, manufacturing, and oil & gas space, with small and medium sized (max 50 employees) oil & gas being the primary industry of interest.  The company we are working with is headquartered in Casper, WY. This will be our base of operations; however, we have flexibility in our schedule to meet in the Denver or surrounding areas anytime during the period between August 2 and August 10. I would prefer to meet with small groups of 2-3 at a time. I may attend these meetings with one or both of my partners, depending on their availability. At the end of the day, my goal is to learn more about the Denver / Rocky Mountain area business community and build some relationships in an area that my partners and I will be working in and around for at least the next several months.
General outline:
  • General business information and climate of the oil & gas, transportation and manufacturing industries; discussion of who we are and what we are doing in the Rocky Mountain area; and most importantly, connecting with the community of service members and business leaders in the Denver area.
ACTION: Please respond by July 30th

If anyone would care to meet with him, please contact me (Dave Jackson :  mojac2002@msn.com  ). I'll suggest that if you want to meet at lunch, Aug 8 or 9 might be easiest. Breakfast, probably any date, but since he's traveling from Cheyenne, the North side of Denver would best meet his needs.

Either way, please let me know, suggest a date/time & location if you know one. Also, please include you field.  NOTE: if you're not one of the "three fields" asked for, & still want to network with him, let me know.

Thanks

3.  ITEM OF INTEREST - USA Today Article:  "Raytheon's $70,000 Magic Bullet"

Here's a recent article which fellow artillerymen might find particlularly interesting.  It's written from a business/investing perspective, but nonetheless interesting for the insight into the impact of technology on today's weapon systems and strategies.
