Weekly News and Agenda for Tuesday, 31 May 2016

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 31 MAY 2016:

0700-0800:  Introductions, Assistance, Open Forum Discussion

It's an open forum discussion this week.  That means extra time to expand on what's happening in your world, especially any networking needs.  It's also a great time to bring up any topics of general interest.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

31 MAY (this week):  Open Forum Discussion & Networking.

7 JUN:  TBD/Open

If there's a speaker you'd like to invite for 7 June or any future Tuesday, just let me know at panicciaj@aol.com.

Remember -- you could be the speaker yourself.   Got an interesting topic or a problem you'd like to put to the group?  Maybe you've gained new insight from a business book or a conference.  Those are just a few examples of great topics on which to lead a discussion.

3.  GRAD-LED NON-PROFIT LOOKING FOR BOARD MEMBERS:

BizNet member Josh Kuehl (USMA '01) has started a veteran-focused non-profit and is looking for board members.  Please see below for more information, and contact Josh directly if interested.

Vision: Creating images that strengthen and heal our resilient warriors

Mission: Task Force ISO generates positive images of veterans by veterans, provides a network of support for veterans interested in photography, and uses the camera as a tool for outreach to connect with veterans and non-veterans.

Description: Task Force ISO is a veteran focused non-profit organization that uses the Art of Photography through several different avenues to reach those that desire to show courage through adversity for both veterans and non-veterans . Primarily, TF:ISO provides exceptional photography support for primarily veteran non-profit organizations with the intent of providing these organizations with positive images of the people they serve in action.  Second, TF:ISO conducts a photography education program intended to encourage an active lifestyle and personal growth through the Art of Photography.  Finally, TF:ISO uses the universal need for photography to reach out horizontally to organizations and promote a positive perception of veterans.

We are currently looking for Board Members to fill certain vacancies on our Board and to aid in the diversity of perspectives.  First and foremost, NO PHOTOGRAPHY SKILL REQUIRED.  We are looking to balance the Board with former military officers.  Next, someone with financial skills sufficient enough to be the Board Treasurer and to assist in making sure our financial reporting is accurate.

Please fell free to reach out to me if you want more information or have any interest in helping our organization take off.
