Agenda for Tuesday, 2/24/15

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 2/24/15:

0700-0715: Introductions & Networking Assistance. We'll help you with advice, assistance, referrals, and other networking needs.

0715-0800: Open Forum Discussion. This is simply an expanded version of the introductions, with more time for in-depth discussion of your networking needs or topics of interest to the group.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

2/24/15 (this week): Networking & Open Forum Discussion.

3/3/15: Open/TBD. If there's a speaker you'd like to schedule for 3 March or any future Tuesday, just send me a note at panicciaj@aol.com. Remember that you can be the speaker yourself -- just pick a topic you're interested in and lead a discussion on it, with or without handouts.

Service Academy BizNet of Denver meets weekly on Tuesdays at 0700, in the Marriott Hotel at the Denver Tech Center. From I-25, exit Belleview east, then turn north onto Syracuse Street. The Marriott lots are paid parking (approx $2-4), however you can park for FREE across the street at Garcia's Restaurant (we have their permission). Look for us in the seating area inside the Marriott's coffee shop. RSVP is not required. Dress is casual. Attendance is open to graduates of the federal service academies (USAFA, USCGA, USMA, USMMA, USNA). There are no dues or fees. Our schedule, roster and other information are posted at www.academybiznet.org.

This week Ron Burgy will give a presentation on How to Find a Job in a Competitive Market. Ron is owner of Ronald T. Burgy & Associates, which is part of The Colorado Triad Group. Mr. Burgy has 31 years of experience recruiting in the Denver area. His talk will address the search process for the full range of ex-military candidates, from those making their initial transition into the civilian job market, to those making a career change later in life.
