3.  SPECIAL EVENT - TRIBUTE TO A FIGHTER PILOT - October 10:

On Friday, October 10, 1800-2200, Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum will host its 5th Annual Tribute to a Fighter Pilot.  Biznet member Greg Anderson (USAFA '72 and President/CEO of the museum) writes as follows:

We are honoring General Ron Fogleman this year, and expecting a great turnout. It’s not often you get to rub shoulders with a Chief of Staff. We’ll make Wings into a Friday night O’Club for stories around a number of fighters with open cockpits, etc. Proceeds support expanding education outreach to develop future leaders.

Here's an except from the event web site:

General Fogleman graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1963 and performed combat duty
as a fighter pilot and high-speed forward air controller in Vietnam and Thailand.  In 1994, he became the first graduate of the Academy to advance to Chief of Staff of the Air Force.
General Fogleman will share fascinating stories of his career, like the tale of his dramatic rescue in Vietnam.  During a ground attack mission, his F-100 took numerous hits from ground fire. He ejected, evaded capture and, in a dramatic rescue, clung to the gun bay door of a U.S. Army Bell AH-1 Cobra gunship and was carried 20 miles to a special forces camp.

Last Chance To Buy In To The Golf Tournament

Last Chance To Buy In To The Golf Tournament

Golf Tournament:  Friday, September 5th (Legacy Ridge Golf Course)

Just a heads up that the Veterans Passport to Hope Golf Tournament www.VP2H.org is coming up on Friday, September 5th at Legacy Ridge with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM.

As you know, I have a very strong passion for helping our Veterans.  Our Vets are facing challenges today like never before:
•             record high suicide rate (22 a day)
•             high rate of PTSD
•             high divorce rate
•             high unemployment rate
•             high homelessness rate

The golf tournament promises to be a great tournament and I would love it if you would commit to a foursome.  All the proceeds from the tournament will go to help our vets.

It is for a great cause and I am certain you will have a blast!

Let me know if you are interested.  Here is the link to the registration page.
