3.  GRAD OFFERING ENTRY-LEVEL ENGINEER POSITIONS & INTERNSHIPS, AND ALSO SEEKING ASSISTANCE:

Mark Peasley (USMA '86) writes as follows:

I’m reaching out for 2 reasons: one - to offer assistance in hiring intern level or new engineers seeking work in the mechanical engineering world and two - to ask if you could float my resume with our group.  I’m currently working at Quest Integrity as the VP of Engineering out of Boulder.  I usually hire 2 interns annually and other engineers as needed/required.  In the near future, my job may shift to Houston but I would like to remain in the Denver area so any opportunities and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please contact Mark directly if interested or can assist.

Phone:  281-686-9192

If you'd like to view Mark's resume, please have Mark send it to you, or I (Joe) can forward it as well (Our Biznet blog has no capability for attachments, and limited ability to handle pasting in documents such as resumes.)

Agenda for Tuesday, 16 October 2018

1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 16 OCTOBER 2018:

0700-0720:  Introductions & Assistance.

During introductions, tell us a bit about yourself and any networking needs. We can help with referrals, advice, job search assistance, and other networking.

0720-0800:  Speaker

Mark Baker (USAFA '82) is Senior Vice President of Airport Infrastructure Management at Denver International Airport (DEN).  He will talk with us about his journey into commercial aviation after he retired from the Air Force.  Mark's presentation will provide relatable insight and lessons learned that should benefit any former military officers making a similar transition.

Note that Mark's topic is different from what we previously communicated.  Mark must defer the topic of major capital projects underway or upcoming at the airport, due to routine legal approvals of his presentation material that could not be completed in time for this week's talk. Mark plans to speak to us on that topic in the near future.  Please join us this week for an equally interesting topic from Mark, as stated above.

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

16 October (this week):  Mark Baker - see above.

23 October:  TBD or Open Forum Networking.

If you have a speaker in mind for an upcoming Tuesday, or would like to lead a discussion yourself, just let me know, at PanicciaJoe@gmail.com.
