1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 11/18/14:

0700-0715:  Introductions.

0715-0800:  Networking Assistance & Open Forum Discussion.  This is a great opportunity to strengthen your personal network among fellow academy grads.  Tell us what's happening in your world these days, especially anything we might be able to help with.  Typically someone in the group (if not several) will be able to offer advice, assistance, referrals, or other specific networking help.  Grab some coffee and join us for interesting discussion, good camaraderie, and helpful networking.      

2. SPEAKER SCHEDULE:

11/18/14 (this week):   Open Forum/Networking - see above.

11/25/14:  Molly Berger - Executive director of TiE Rockies.  Ms. Berger will talk about the services and support they provide to entrepreneurs in Colorado, including specifically for veteran entrepreneurs.  TiE Rockies is the Colorado chapter of TiE Global, the largest not-for-profit entrepreneur's network in the world. Their mission is "To support the Colorado Entrepreneur" through education, mentoring, networking and funding. They have many free events, including some specifically for military veterans.  Their VET-preneurs group operates out of the Innovation Pavilion in Centennial and is focused on helping veterans become successful entrepreneurs and business owners.  Web Site:  www.rockies.tie.org .  MeetUp Group:  www.meetup.com/TiE-Rockies-Global-Entrepreneurs/

Service Academy BizNet of Denver meets weekly on Tuesdays at 0700, in the Marriott Hotel at the Denver Tech Center. From I-25, exit Belleview east, then turn north onto Syracuse Street. The Marriott lots are paid parking (approx $2-4), however you can park for FREE across the street at Garcia's Restaurant (we have their permission). Look for us in the seating area inside the Marriott's coffee shop. RSVP is not required. Dress is casual. Attendance is open to graduates of the federal service academies (USAFA, USCGA, USMA, USMMA, USNA). There are no dues or fees. WP AOG Posting: Vice President of Alumni Support

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is dedicated to furthering the ideals and promoting the welfare of the United States Military Academy (USMA), and to supporting and serving its graduates.  USMA is renowned as one of the world's preeminent leadership development institutions.  The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400 and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.
West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a Vice President of Alumni Support.  Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President will lead the WPAOG’s Office of Alumni Support, ensuring that all functions are conducted within the policies and directives of the President, and as applicable, of the Alumni Support Committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Thayer Award Committee.  Additionally, the Vice President will ensure the delivery of high quality reunion, career assistance, memorial, and organizational support programs for graduates that remain relevant for their lives.  Finally, the Vice President will develop and execute strategies to create and sustain dynamic graduate programs that inspire increased graduate involvement and commitment to The United States Military Academy.
