1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 6/7/11:

0700-0730: INTRODUCTIONS

We'll begin with roundtable introductions. Tell us what's new for you, personally or professionally, and any networking needs. We'll give particular focus to those seeking advice, referrals, job search assistance, or simply the opportunity to disseminate business information or plug their own business.

0730-0800: SPEAKER/PROGRAM

Open Forum. This week the floor is yours. Feel free to discuss any topic that might be of interest to the group, or use the extra time to delve into a bit more detail on what you're up to lately or anything we can help with.

2. UPCOMING TUESDAY PROGRAMS:

6/14/11: Open Forum (or speaker, TBD).

6/21/11: David Weaver will speak on franchising opportunities in today's market. Mr. Weaver has spent the last several years analyzing and underwriting franchise systems across the country.

3. WPSD EVENT - June 11 (open to grads/guests of all service academies):

The West Point Society of Denver (WPSD) presents “An Evening with Bob Berry” on June 11th. As many of you know BG (Ret) Bob Berry has been an associate member of WPSD for many years in addition to having taught in the Department of Social Sciences and Head of the Law Department from 1978 – 1986. He is also an Honorary member of the Class of 1969.

Bob has graciously agreed to give us his unique perspective of the Academy spanning his 60 years of association with it.

4. WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES EVENTS - June 9-13:

Here's a reminder about some of the great events happening at Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum.

A. The Flying Fortress is Flying In!

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is proud to announce the return of the B-17Flying Fortress and Hangar Dance! Come help us honor veterans from June 9th-13th, 2011.
Come and enjoy a fun and exciting weekend filled with:
*Flights on a WWII era B-17 Bomber
*Hangar Dance
*Warbird Static Displays
*Youth Activities
*Veterans Corner
*Military Re-enactors & Vehicles
*Unique Merchandise

B. Dance the Night Away! June 10th 7pm - 11pm

The Hangar Dance is a great way to celebrate the night! Dance to the sounds of the Big Band era, eat USO-style food and see great decorations, and tour the B-17. 1940’s attire is encouraged, but casual dress is great too (there will be a Costume Contest)! Also, participate in swing dance lessons & a contest!

Service Academy BizNet of Denver meets weekly on Tuesdays at 0700 in the Marriott Hotel at the Denver Tech Center. From I-25, exit Belleview east, then turn north onto Syracuse Street. While the Marriott lots are paid parking (approx $2-4), you can park for FREE across the street at Garcia's Restaurant (we have their permission). Look for us in the seating area inside the Marriott's coffee shop. RSVP is not required. Dress is casual. Attendance is open to graduates of the federal service academies (USAFA, USCGA, USMA, USMMA, USNA). Our schedule, roster and other information are posted on the web site at www.academybiznet.org
