4. SUPPORT FOR THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT:

BizNet member Shane Schmutz (USMA '01) is hosting a large fundraising event (500+ attendees) to support Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP). The event will be on October 4, 2012 at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. The West Point Society of Denver (WPSD) is a Supporting Sponsor for the event and is helping the project collect donations.

Shane has set up a website where you can find more information, http://www.veteranspassport2hope.org/ One item that Shane needs is an Event Sponsor. This sponsor will be the "Title Sponsor" for the event, meaning they'll receive a large amount of recognition. If your company wants to associate itself with helping the WWP, please contact Shane thru the above website.

5. VA HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION JOB FAIR - March 23:

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce and Kiewit-Turner Construction announce the following:

We are excited to be holding our first job fair for the Replacement Medical Center Facility (aka the new VA Hospital).

Date: March 23
Doors open to the public 9am-noon
Location: Aurora Professional Learning and Conference Center
15701 E 1st Ave, Aurora, CO 80011

Event Purpose: The purpose of this job fair is to provide veterans and Coloradans a chance to work on this wonderful project. If there happen to be no opportunities for an attendee, we want them to at least walk away with a list of resources and opportunities. Please help us spread the word. We will be sending out an official notice for sharing later this week when we have the skills/types of people needed by our subcontractors.
