Weekly News and Agenda for Tuesday, 5/22/12

0700-0800: OPEN FORUM

After a run of great speakers this past several weeks, we'll go with an Open Forum this time. As usual we'll start with roundtable introductions. Tell us a bit about yourself and any networking needs. The Open Forum is also a good opportunity to go into a little more depth on topics of interest, or more detail on your networking needs or latest endeavors.

5/22/12: (this week): Open Forum.

5/29/12: TBD or Open Forum. We have a few speakers in the pipeline, pending confirmation of specific dates, but we're always looking for more. If you'd like to invite a speaker or lead a discussion for any Tuesday morning, just let me know at, or you're welcome to add it to our calendar at

Dave Duff (USNA '90) recently reached out to the USNA alumni network for assistance in making contacts in the Denver/Boulder area. The following was passed along by Biznet member J.J. Mackin (USNA '66). If you can offer Dave any advice or assistance, please reach out to him directly via the contact information below. You can also view his profile on LinkedIn at

Dave writes as follows:

My name is Dave Duff, and I’m a USNA grad currently living with my wife
(Patricia) and 2 young children (Drew and Paige) in Winter Springs, Florida.

I’m planning to re-locate my family to Boulder, CO this year because
seasonal allergies are impacting our quality of life here in Central Florida. I’m reaching out to you because it’s difficult to make a major location
change without contacts in the new place. Would you be willing to pass along
contact information of Recruiters/Managers/Directors you may know?

My area of expertise is Information Technology Project Management. I have 11 years with Science Applications International Corporation, and 10 years of service as a
Marine before that. My commitment to move my family to Boulder this summer is strong. I'm targeting well established companies like IBM, VMware, and L3, but would enjoy contributing at a smaller firm if the work was interesting and challenging.

Thanks for considering my request.

Dave Duff

Have a great week.

Joe Paniccia (USMA '84)
