Add-A-VETERAN Hiring Event
Be a Hero and Hire a Hero

Veterans have served our nation and defended our liberties, they deserve an opportunity to be considered for open positions. At the American Job Center’s no cost Add-A-VETERAN Hiring Event veterans will have this very opportunity, to meet with many ready to hire employers. Veterans are invited to join the American Job Center for the Add-A-VETERAN Hiring Event on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 9:00am – 11:30am at Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling Street in Wheat Ridge.

All registered veterans and their spouses will be provided a list of positions that are open from each company in attendance. Veterans will be given the opportunity to target their resumes and conduct research on the businesses in advance of this event. If you are a veteran or a spouse of a veteran and would like to attend, register at http://conta.cc/1o3SUKa.

This event also provides businesses a chance to meet with, review qualifications of, and speak directly to numerous highly qualified applicants who are veterans. Why hire a veteran? Veterans come into the civilian workforce with backgrounds in leadership, team building, and digital literacy; they are extremely goal oriented, and can focus on the immediate task at hand as well as the big picture. Employers will have the opportunity to schedule additional time with qualified candidates to interview and fill current vacancies. An employer who attended this same event in June states, “The preparedness and caliber of the participants was extraordinary!” All businesses are invited to attend. If you are an employer interested in being part of this event, please register at http://conta.cc/1rhcQ6V

For more information on this event please contact Tim Galloway at tgallowa@jeffco.us or call 303.271.4800.
