1. AGENDA FOR TUESDAY, 10/28/14:

0700-0730: Introductions and assistance.

0730-0800: SPEAKER:  J.J. Mackin (USNA '68).  As most of you know, J.J. is heading up the committee that will fund and coordinate the commissioning ceremony for the USS Colorado.  The USS Colorado (SSN 788) is a Virginia-class submarine being built now, with commissioning expected about 2 years from now.  http://usscoloradocommittee.org/wp/

J.J. describes the talk he will give us this week, as follows:

The topic I would like to present is a preview of the USS Colorado Ship’s Crest Design Contest which we will be running starting in November. It is anticipated that the winner’s entry will become the official Ship’s crest. We will also be having a contest for school age children to enter into a Junior category. I will also discuss the Commissioning ceremony for USS North Dakota that I am attending this weekend.
